A collaboration that merges Swiss watchmaking tradition with the dystopian imagination of the most anticipated video game of the year.
The connection between contemporary luxury and pop culture grows stronger every day. With this limited edition, Hamilton once again proves that design can tell stories. At maisonroca.ad, we reveal every detail of this extraordinary piece that defies convention.
Hamilton explores new horizons with the Boulton Death Stranding 2
For decades, Hamilton has held a prominent place at the crossroads of watchmaking and the entertainment industry. From timepieces designed for film to iconic models worn on screen, the American brand has mastered the art of turning time into storytelling.
Now, with the launch of the Hamilton American Classic Boulton Death Stranding 2 Limited Edition, the brand ventures into new territory: video games. This is a direct collaboration with Kojima Productions and art director Yoji Shinkawa, the visionary behind the visual identity of the Death Stranding universe.
More than a watch: a piece of the game
Inspired by the game’s second installment —Death Stranding 2: On the Beach— this limited edition is more than just a reinterpretation of Hamilton’s classic Boulton model from 1941. It’s a fusion of dystopian aesthetics and Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship.
With a titanium case coated in black PVD and a frame-style construction, the watch exudes ruggedness, as if made to withstand an apocalyptic world. Its most striking feature is the sapphire crystal composed of seven parts, offering a partial view of the dial — a fragmented design that evokes the game’s broken landscapes.
A shared visual language
The matte black dial is minimal yet impactful: grey hour markers, skeletonized hands, and orange accents — such as the seconds hand and 12 o’clock index — directly connect with the visual codes of the game’s universe.
The watch houses the H-10 automatic movement, boasting an 80-hour power reserve and an antimagnetic Nivachron balance spring — reliable technology for an unpredictable world.
Dimensions and everyday wearability
Despite its otherworldly look, the watch maintains wearable proportions: 36 mm width, 48 mm lug-to-lug, and a thickness of 13.7 mm. The satin-finished titanium bracelet with butterfly clasp ensures both comfort and tactical character.
Its 50-meter water resistance confirms it’s more than just a collector’s item — it’s made to be worn.
A collector’s case, a unique piece
Turn the watch over to reveal a transparent case back inspired by the game’s tar motif, a recurring element in the eerie world of Death Stranding. Each unit is individually numbered and presented in a special collector’s box, complete with a cleaning cloth for the multi-surface crystal.
A limited edition for future-minded collectors
Only 2,000 pieces will be produced, available starting June 26, 2025. This watch will appeal to collectors, gamers, and lovers of boundary-pushing design alike.
In a world where physical and digital, cinema and gaming, storytelling and craftsmanship increasingly blur, Hamilton continues to show us what it means to innovate.
