Niessing in Andorra
The contemporary jewellery design house Niessing was founded in 1873 in Vreden, in the German region of Westphalia. Research and development, combined with expert craftsmanship, underpin Niessing’s commitment to quality. The house would never compromise its identity through mass production. Each piece is unique, personal and precious, with harmonious contours that evoke powerful emotions and reflect the highest standards of design.
The Bauhaus movement, founded in Weimar, Germany, had a profound influence on Niessing’s design philosophy. Its impact on twentieth-century architecture, design and art, particularly between 1919 and 1933, became a major source of inspiration for the brand.
Wedding bands have been the cornerstone of Niessing since 1873. In the 1950s, the brand was Germany’s undisputed benchmark for wedding jewellery. Its seamless wedding rings are forged from a single solid piece of precious metal. These iconic Niessing pieces symbolise eternal love.
The NIESSING RING® has become a modern interpretation of the classic solitaire. The gemstone is held in place solely by the tension of the ring’s band, without prongs or a bezel setting. It appears to float above the hand, offering a simple and beautiful way to showcase a diamond.
